Composition : Emotion : Principle

In this assignment, we have to take two 20cm X 20cm squares. Using any two geometric shapes (circle, triangle, square, rectangle, or rhombus), lines, and dots (size and colour is decided by you) create two compositions that represent any of the following words~ love, fear, hate, friendship, sweet, bitter, sour, vast, future, past, many, shallow, flight, infinite. Make a window of 8cmX8cm, identify the predominating gestalt laws and the principles of design from your compositions. Take photographs of those 8cm X8cm squares.

The project helped me realize how our emotions can be placed into words, thoughts, with the basic shapes and forms in a way to construct an abstract. The hardest thing was to learn how colour and forms play a role with emotions all together to create a composition The study conducted on new media varies a lot from what is done on paper. In order to reflect the principles the perception of colours has helped me accomplish the composition. The most interesting part is where we play with the 8 cm X 8 cm window that separates the composition into parts and shows us the principles altogether.

The two words I chose were INFINITE AND LOVE
